rodent trapping Dallas's Best Rodent Removal: Rats and mice have adapted to living near humans, depending on humans for both food and shelter. However, their presence comes with immense damage to properties, as well as potential health risks. In the late 80s, as human settlement began to spread into a natural habitat, the population of rodents proliferated, and cases of rodent infestation began to soar in this district. Our founder was one of the first people whose house was severely affected. At the time, the nearest wildlife removal company was about 30 miles away. Recognizing the new opportunity, our founder decided to start a company focused on rodent removal. After undergoing training, this company was established. Today, we are a family-run business and have grown to have over 50 employees, and we have worked with about 100,000 clients over the years. As a forward-thinking company, we provide innovative solutions and keep up with the latest trend and technologies in the wildlife removal sphere. By choosing us, you'll be working with the most technically advanced and trained company in the rodent control industry. Our specialists are skilled professionals. They are state-certified and licensed, and they have completed our rigorous career advancement program to a standard unrivaled within the industry. They also undergo ongoing training programs to keep their skills sharp. Step one for us is for our specialist to conduct a property inspection after you let us know what kind of rodent problem you're having - maybe you're hearing noises in the attic, or you've noticed droppings. Inspection allows us to determine the full extent of the problem, and we can develop a full-proof removal plan and give you a fair price estimate. We have decades of experience in removing rodents from commercial and residential properties of all sizes. Contact us today to eliminate your rodent infestation with the most effective removal and prevention program.

Dallas pest control

We Texas's top experts in rodent control. We are not a typical Dallas rat removal or pest control company. We don't treat rats or mice like insects, because they are not - they are mammals! You can't just use poison to get rid of them, like you can with insects. Unlike most Dallas pest control, we focus on complete and permanent solutions. We don't just use poison every month. We solve your rodent problem forever, by following these steps:

  • Inspect the entire house, ground to roof, and the attic
  • Seal shut all entry areas, no matter how small, with steel
  • Set a dozen or more rat or mouse traps in the house and attic
  • Remove all rodents as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more caught, we're done
  • When necessary, we clean rodent droppings, replace insulation, and repair chewed electric wires

Dallas Rodent Removal Tip:

Can rats chew through the ceiling?
A question we get rather often in this business is "will a rat chew through my ceiling?", and we feel it's a reasonable concern. So in this article, we'll look at just what an invading rat can and can't do.

Before we get into it, rest assured that while rats aren't as big or as strong as other wild invaders (such as raccoons, for example), they can cause considerable damage to the home, so the sooner you get rid of them, the better.

First of all, what would rats be doing up there?
What you need to understand about rats is that they are fairly intelligent creatures. They understand that making a nest in your living room isn't a very good idea, because they are quite likely to get caught. This is why most rats will either hide in your basement or your attic, because they are less likely to be discovered here, and the usual boxes and stored goods often provide them with ample hiding and nesting room.

What's more, it's often easier to get into the attic than into other areas of the house. Since you're not exposed regularly to that area of the house, you're less likely to notice damage in the walls or windows, and it's exactly through these cracks that rats get in in the first place.

rodent trapping So, can rats chew through walls and through your ceiling?
Definitely, yes. The truth is, these rodents have very sharp little teeth, which can easily get through the dry wood, which is what most roofs and walls are made of. Since rat teeth are sharper and harder than your own teeth, they are likely to chew through most materials found in your home, such as bricks, plastic, asbestos, and even through certain types of metal, such as aluminum.

But why?
We've just established that rats are quite happy to live up in the attic, since they can usually escape it and get provisions, and they're least likely to be discovered. So why would they want to make their presence known by chewing through your ceiling?

Well, they don't. Not technically. See, the main reason why rats are always chewing on something is that unlike with humans, their teeth are constantly growing, and so, they need to keep filing them down on a regular basis, otherwise their teeth would pierce their own head and kill them.

Another reason why rats might chew through your ceiling is that they've essentially become trapped in your attic. This sometimes happens when the rat has crawled in through a particularly tight space and is now unable to get out again. Rats will do anything in order to get themselves out of a tight spot (literally), so if they get a mind to chew through the ceiling, then it won't be long until they drop into the house.

Now, rats are generally less threatening than the general population seems to think they are. They usually don't attack humans, with the only (rare) exception being the elderly, the infants, or the incapacitated. But as a general rule, rats won't harm you unless you attempt to harm them.

Still, rats in the house expose you, your family, and your pets to a wide range of diseases.

So what can you do?
If you hear gnawing and scuttling noises up in your attic, you need to call in a professional wildlife removal service immediately or attempt to catch them yourself, if you like. Once the rats are out of your house, you need to identify their entry points and fill them in, ideally with wire cloth, which other rats won't be able to chew through in the future.
